FAQs
If we make computers available can you install the software as part of the training?
No, it isn't possible to install the Siemens software during the training due to the amount of time the installation requires. We also generally do not offer software installation services as these are best carried out by your establishments IT team and will require full administrator rights.
What will the training cover?
The training will focus on;
- Setting up the equipment ready for use
- A run down of the operation of the sensors and actuators on the system
- Run through of the full demonstration program with all HMI screens explained in detail
- Demonstration of how to load the sample file into Siemens TIA Portal, convert for the appropriate version number and re-upload to the PLCs and HMI
- Demonstration of how to update the HMI firmware (if applicable)
- Demonstration of how to access learning materials either via cloud.ljcreate.com or, if applicable, ClassAct II LMS
- Demonstration of switched faults, inserted via the fault panel
How long should we allow?
The training will likely take about two to three hours but factors such as number of pieces of equipment, number of attendees etc. can increase or decrease this timeframe. We welcome customers to allow for additional time to work on the trainer while we are onsite to assist with any questions that may arise.
