Our eLearning system has been designed to get you accessing our learning materials as quickly as possible. Just follow the steps below to get started...

Registration

Head to www.ljcreatelms.com/selfregister and fill out the registration form. Your site code and self-register code will be provided by your school or college. Make sure to note your username and password as you will need those to log in!

We will only use your email address to retrieve your account if you forget your password.

Logging In

To log in go to www.ljcreatelms.com and enter the details you used at registration.

Navigating the Site

First, check your language setting. There are differences between US and UK content so it is important you select the correct country!

When you first log in you will need to select a course from the drop down list. When you log back in you will go straight back to the course you were last working on and you can swap courses whenever you like.

Once you have a course loaded you will see a list of lessons. Each lesson has a number of sections which are accessed by clicking the icons on the right of the screen. Here is what they all mean:

Presentation : This is where you learn about the lessons topic. The controls at the bottom of the screen allow you to turn the voiceover on/off, toggle autoplay and skip slides. Click anywhere on the presentation window to move on.

Investigation : Take what you've learned in the presentation and apply it to answer questions, solve problems or even to help you use one of our interactive simulators.

Assessment : Test yourself on what you've learned. Once you've submitted your answers the scores are locked but you can come out of an assessment and return to it whenever you like.

Practical Tasks : It may not be possible to complete these tasks outside of your school or college as they require specific equipment. Each task has an equipment list which shows you what you need to complete it.

You will notice that the icons change colour as you work. A green presentation, investigation or practical task shows that you've viewed it.

Assessments have three colours green = completed with a score of 70% or more. Red = completed with a score below 70%. Amber shows the assessment has been started but you haven't finished it yet.

Other Menus and Settings

On the left of the screen there are a number of buttons, here is a run down of what they do:

Account Settings : Use this to change your email address or password. You can't change your name or username once your account has been set up.

Language : Use this to toggle the available language options. The UK and US variants change more than just spellings. For example a UK course may have units in mm while the US version uses inches.

Dashboard : Here you can access statistics on how long you've spent on the eLearning site and how far you have progressed through the courses you've been working on.

Courses : Click here to take you back to the last course you were working on. Remember, you can use the drop down at the top of the screen to swap courses.

History : Use the history button to view a list of your most recently completed work. This includes the number of times you've viewed a lesson, how long you spent on it and your score on any assessments you've taken.

Joining Classes

To join additional classes go to your account settings by clicking your name in the top left corner of the screen.

Under Group Membership enter the name of the group and the registration code supplied by your school or college and click Join Group. Now log out of the system.
