The custom reporting function allows you to generate data on your students progression through a series of learning units. This tool is especially powerful when used in conjunction with your own customised courses.

In the example below a class named Science is being reported on for two semesters of work.

Please note - As a demo account is being used no student data will be generated.

To start a new customised report use the Reports > Edit left menu button. If this is your first custom report you will be taken straight to the report editor screen.

Clicking the green + start by adding the User(s) you wish to report on using the class (group) as a filter.

Pressing the magnifying glass icon will list your students which can then be added to the report.

After clicking the Apply button you will be taken back to the reports page.

At this stage we are only getting an overview of the students progress, not the detail of their assessment scores so we need to complete one more step. Click the Columns Values button shown.

Now you need to add the learning units you want to report on. This is where your time used to create custom courses will really help as it will simplify the process greatly. In the example, we are going to report on the Semester 1 - Space course.
Note that if you are using our pre-made courses the process is the same, however the generated report will potentially be much larger.

Again clicking the magnifying glass will give you a list of learning units you can add to the report.

And here they are applied to the report.

All that is left is to set the date range and refresh the data. To add the next semester, just repeat the last step. As you can see, additional learning units can be added to, or removed from, the report.

Depending on the number of students/learning units you are reporting on it may be best to swap the axes to give the most usable view.

To re-title your report click the name (New Report) at the top of the screen and don't forget to save it using the disk icon!

When you re-launch Reports > Edit you will see the saved report as well the option to create a new report.
