What materials can be used with the Injection Moulding Trainer?
The injection moulding trainer is designed to be used with High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) only. The use of other materials is not recommended.
What is the maximum part size I can produce?
The limit is determined by the volume of the part, and its physical size. The injection moulding trainer is capable of injecting a maximum volume of 8.5cc. The maximum size of 3D printed mould is 70 x 45mm.
The handle is very hard to pull and the parts are not forming as they should. What should I do?
This can occur when the injection nozzle becomes blocked. Remove the mould and clear any visible debris from the nozzle with a wooden dowel. Bring the injection molder up to temperature and purge through some material without a mould in the machine. Replace the mould and retry.
I think one of my students has dropped something into the hopper. What should I do?

What is the temperature range of the injection moulder?
The injection moulding trainer has an operating range of 100 to 245°C. With the supplied HDPE the trainer should be set to 230°C
